A whole lot of nothing and then wham...7Posts!

Funny Moments

This is a picture of Emi all ready to do some hair. She must think that's what I look like when I leave. She loves to wear her Potatoe head glasses, and she says the funniest things:

Emi: "Mom, let me do your hair, sit right here."
Mom: "Sit right where Emi?"
Emi: pointing to a hard uncomfortable toy "Right here mom its your chair."
Mom: "That might hurt"
Emi: "Sit right there or I'll put hot stuff in your mouth."

A couple of months ago before we potty-trained Emi, she came upstairs looking like this. Don't worry now she knows they don't go on her head like a fancy hat.

Fall Leaves Fun!

I went out to rake some leaves and got a nasty blister, but Emilee sure enjoyed herself. It was such a beautiful day I love this weather.

Happy Halloween!

Emi was the cutest pumkin. She wanted to wear makeup so I put some on her for Halloween. She had so much fun tricker treating and playing with cousins. After all the fun we went home and watched Casper the Friendly Ghost.

Emi's Growing Up!

It seems like just the other day that Emi was a little baby and now she is all grown up, well grown up for a 2 year old that is. Some new things with Emi:

-She is potty-trained...YAY!
-She can identify lots of shapes; triangles, circles, squares, stars, hearts...etc
-She knows all her colors.
-She's know her ABC's for a long time but now she can pick out A's B's C's and E's
-She also knows what sounds most of them make.
-She knows when her birthday is.
-She can count to 10.
-She definately knows how to talk back. ):
-She can identify Joseph Smith, Thomas S. Monson, and of course Jesus

Funny things she says:

I went dress shopping with Jessica the other day and later when in the car with Emi she said...

Emi: "Mom, did you go to Jessica's house?"
Me: No I went wedding dress shopping.
Emi: "Oh, I am going to have a pretty white dress and get married in the temple and then.....get pregnant and have a baby."

Emi: "Mom I not feelin good I need some medicine, a blue popcicle, some craisons, and a blue treat."

Yep that's my two year old.

Black Island Farms

We went with our friends the Pollards out to Black Island Farms. It was so much fun...there is a ton of stuff for kid to do. The slides and the animal train were probably Emi's favorite. But she had fun playing rock band with Talmage and watching the Pig races.

Catching Everyone Up!

Family Pictures. My sister in law Kami did an excellent job and Emi just look so cute in all of them.

Wow this summer has flown by, and I haven't blogged at all. In the next couple of days I'll blog our summer events. It is hard to keep up on blogging when you don't have the internet available all the time.

Day 4,5, 6 and 7!

Kurt let me know on Day Four that he was done with the diet, so I have been going it solo. I thought he still had to eat somewhat healthy 'cause I had gotten rid of all the junk in our house and I would still be cooking his dinners. But on the very same day he called me from work to let me know he was done he came home with 3 tubs of ice cream, and 2 bags of doritos. So not only am I going it alone but more temptation has been put in my path. Its ok though 'cause I am holding strong.

Day 4 Diet: Stuck to it!
Day 4 Exercise: A 45minute muscle toning and strength building workout.
A jog around the neighborhood.

Day 5 Diet: Stuck to it!
Day 5 Exercise: I worked today so not too much time to workout.

Day 6 Diet: Stuck to it...Even through a farewell luncheon that I took cookies to!
Day 6 Exercise: The Sabbath, otherwise my excuse for none! (:

Day 7 Diet: Stuck to it!
Day 7 Exercise: Speed Walked 3miles at the Park Way.
Indoor Soccer game.

*Today I walked in from doing the parkway and smelled a mouthwatering hamburger, and I did freak out at Kurt for a bit 'cause I was hungry. But I recovered and am doing well. The truth is that I can start to see my love handles fading away and I feel good about myself.*

Ooops!

Day Three of our diet was going great! I was slightly light headed and I had no desire to eat because I knew what I had to prepare...haha! I now understand a possible reason to anorexia. Sometimes its better not to eat that the crap healthy people eat. HAHA This is where the oops came in...

I had to work tonight and left "THE HUSBAND" in charge of dinner. Upon arrival home I smelled something so wonderful that it couldn't possibly be the bland recipe I had left for him. I walk up the stairs following my nose and he has on the table a hawaiin Papa Murphy's Pizza. What a scum ball. So we slipped, well technically he slipped and then tempted me to as well. Good news is that our stomaches have already shrunk because we could usually finish a pizza off and we couldn't make it through two pizzas. Back to work tomorrow! ):

Day Three Diet: One Slip
Day Three Exercise: Walking up and down my stairs.

I know We suck!

Eating well sometimes means eating hardly at all!

My very supportive and wonderful husband is joining me on a ten day journey of healthy eating and exercise. This ten day plan claims that you'll loose ten pounds and ten inches in ten days. Its supposed to jumpstart you into healthy living. Upon reading this I thought "Heck Yes! If I could loose ten pounds I would be back down to my college weight and only 5 pounds away from my highschool weight." So I told Kurt about my plan and explained how bothersome it would be to have to prepare two different meals each time we ate so he said he'd join me. I threw in the little nudge that even though he left for work at 5:45am, he would wake up to breakfast ready, his snack and a lunch to go. As well as a snack when he got home and dinner made for the entire 10days.

Little did he know that his breakfasts would consist of no salt no seasoned egg white broccoli omlets, or cottage cheese and multi-grain waffles with no toppings. This 10day diet is a very low calorie hight protein diet. You can't add anything except what is laid out for you in the 10day meal plan.

I fixed Kurts lunch for him today which was one slice of whole wheat bread with 1 tsp of mustard, three slices of turkey, 1 cup of alphalpha sprouts, and two tomato slices. He walked in and asked where his other slice of bread was, (this diet is a very low carb diet, it forces your body to use stored fat to burn) I explained he only got one and he said "I don't think you realize I eat in public at work and they're going to think I ran out of bread." I thought it was hilarious, and since we are only on day 2 and are struggling I have decided to blog our successes everyday so that people will know what we're doing and expect results. haha

So here goes:

My Starting Weight: 129 lbs Kurt's Starting Weight: 205 lbs

Day One Diet: -Stuck to the Diet No mistakes
My Exercise: -Did a very intense 45minute Cardio Workout

Day Two Diet: -Stuck to the Diet No mistakes
My Exercise: -Did a very intense 45minute Cardio Workout and Walked/Jogged the
Parkway wich I believe is 3miles.

Emilee at 2

Emilee keeps us pretty busy, but she is a lot of fun. Kurt and I were just talking about how we want to write all the funny things she says, and how much she has learned. We haven't officially started yet, but today I will blog some of her achievements.

She loves to Sing: There are 4 songs that she can sing all the way through without any help. I am a child of God, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, The ABC's, and Rock-A-Bye and Don't you cry. She's got parts of the folling songs down: I love to see the Temple, Follow the Prophet, Row Row Row your Boat, and differents songs from the disney princess movies.

She Love Disney Princesses: She can name all the following princesses when pointed to, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Jasmine, and Mulan. She can also name most the cast in The Little Mermaid, Beauty in the Beast, Peter Pan and Aladin.

She can point out and name the following church things: Temples, Jesus, The Prophet "Thomas S. Monson"

She likes to dress herself and in the morning when I go to get her from her room she usually has her shoes and socks on with her Jammies.

She's learning how to count. She can count to 10 but sometimes misses 3 and 5. Colors are another thing...she might be color blind haha.

She recognizes times of the day in accordance to food. In the morning she says "I want sum breakfast." In the afternoon "I hungry, I want sum lunch", at night "I want sum dinner." Any other time its "I want a treat/drink" But just recently she has changed the "I want" to "I need" very smart girl.

She gives all of her toys and dolls naps. At christmas time she would take the ornaments off my tree and lay them on the couch with a blanket over them. I asked her why and she replied "Shhh...they sleepin." When she drops a doll she pickes her up and says "I sorry, you ok?"

These are just some of the things I thought I'd share...because she is at such a fun age. I heard someone say once that if we gave birth to 2year olds people would stop having kids. I would have to disagree, I think I would have more! I love my little girl.

Our newest addition as of December!

We got a puppy the end of December! She was born October 22nd, so today she is 5months old. She is already bigger than these pictures, but not much. She'll remain pretty small hopefully. Dakota is a full-bread miniature snauzer. It was kind of an impulse buy. We've been wanting another baby for 8months now and the day we got her we found out yet again that I was not pregnant so Kurt bought her for me to mother until we can have another. HA ha...And although I love her to death she is almost more work than a child. During the first month we had her I almost put a diaper on her. Emilee enjoys her and its a lot of fun to hear Emilee tell Dakota "NO, Koda don't bite me...go in kennel." Just thought I'd share some pictures with everyone of our newest addition.

Our friend Mike doesn't like dogs at all, but ours was so cute even he wanted to hold her.

Sorry!

Ok- It has been a really long time since my last post, and I tried to post last night and again tonight, but for some reason my tower won't read my GB Card that has all my pictures of the newest member of our family. Until I can get pictures I'll leave you with this:

She's very tiny, black, and furry...we call her Dakota!

P.S. No racial remarks from Trevor Ledkins...ha ha
