This month has started out all our Fall Festivities and we are loving the weather and all the activities we've been able to do. First off we headed to Dinosaur Park on October 16th to try out there Night of the Living Dinosaurs Trick or Treat fun, and we had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa Christiansen went with us. It was decorated so fun.
They had a costume contest and our "Little Pirate" took 3rd place. She was thrilled.
On October 18th we headed out to Black Island Farms. Axiom financial gives us free tickets every year and we look forward to it always. They have a petting farm, swings, slides, kiddy-train, corn sandbox, mazes, refreshments, and a hay-ride to pick out pumpkins.
On Thursday, October 21, we went with Amy and Bentley to the Treehouse to play and up to Beuss Pond to feed the ducks. It was gorgeous up there.
On October 22nd we headed up to east canyon with Grandma and Grandpa Christiansen for Emilee's first fishing trip. It was beautiful and we got to catch a ton of fish. Emilee enjoyed the worms the best! On the way home we stopped at the very yummy Taggart's in Morgan Canyon. Soooooo GOOOOOOOOOOD!
On Saturday we went with some of our friends: The Platt's, The Stanger's, and The Meirhoffers to the Treehouse's Enchanted Woods Trick or Treat, and then back to our house for pizza and games. The kids got to dress up and follow around their favorite storybook characters on the quest for the golden rose. They meet Humpty Dumpty, The Three Little Pigs, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, A Pirate, Dorothy and the Scarecrow, and a few more I'm sure I'm forgetting. It was really cute and they got a healthy treat at each station.
Then yesterday Emilee and I decided it was time to make some Halloween Sugar cookies. She poured in and mixed all the ingredients, and made all the colors: Sunset Orange, Watermelon Red, Teal, and Jungle Green. They were just as fun to make as they were to eat. We took some over to both her grandparents.
I know Halloween is this Saturday, so I'm sure I'll have more pictures coming but this month had already been a lot of fun and I had a post overload. I think I'm getting stir crazy waiting for this baby to come and trying to get out as much as possible before I'm cooped up during the winter months.

Sewing Fun!
So I really wanted a Hooter-Hider or Udder-Cover or Nursing Cover, whatever you want to call it...but I didn't want to pay $30+ on one. I know they have discounts and other things occasionally but I've been having a lot of fun learning how to sew, and there's just this feeling of accomplishment when you can use something you make...even though its not a professionals work (: I thought I'd post some pictures of it, 'cause I was pleased with the finished product.
This is the fabric I used. I did mine double-sided 'cause I wanted a lining on the front.
I put a pocket in the bottom right and the top left, I can put nursing pads, burp cloth, binky, Lanolin (nipple cream), pretty much anything I might need while breastfeeding. I'm right handed so the location of the pockets makes it helpful.
I put boning in the top so that its breathable and I can view my baby without the whole world viewing me. (: And an adjustable neck strap that gets tighter if the baby starts pulling. Better than a blanket that my daughter use to pull off and thus give everyone a show...haha
And to show that your husband can wear it too...haha My hubby was a good sport and modeled it for me, see how the boning makes it come out just enough. He's got the neck strap adjusted too tight for him, but you get the picture.
I'm quite a bit smaller than him, so you can tell that its plenty of fabric to cover on all sides. I did mine in fabric that coordinates with a diaper bag and carseat cover that my mom and I are working on. Sooooo excited!

Is my baby a Boy or Girl???
It has been a very long time since my last post, so long in fact that I'm sure most of you that did read my blog have long ago stopped checking for an update. Well, I just found my camera after five months of wondering where it could be...literally found it like 5 minutes ago, and decided to take some quick pictures of my latest shopping adventure. This last weekend we took a trip to St. Georgee with my parents to just relax. It was very hot, but it was nice just to relax and have fun. My mom and I hit the outlets on Monday and I decided to do some shopping for the baby in my tummy. The only problem is that I'm not sure if this little baby is a boy or a girl. Kurt and I decided we didn't want to find out, we think it will be more exciting. I think that Kurt also thought we wouldn't spend as much money before the baby came because we wouldn't no what to buy. Well, Kurt have no fear I've got us covered either way...hee. I'm going to put a survey on my blog so people can guess if it will be a boy or a girl, so if you happen to check my blog give us your oppinion.
I've also taught myself how to crochet this last week before heading off to St. George and this is what I've done so far: (Its very amateur work, but hopefully I'll get better. These are my boy set -haven't finished the hat yet- and then I'll start working on a girl set.
Emi's woke up with a cold so today's been a lazy day but I wanted to post a picture of her since its been a while and she wanted to show off her new necklace and bracelet that her grandma Shauna bought her in St. George. It changes color in the sun.

Exciting News!
We're finally expecting. YAY! We went to the doctor for the first ultra sound today and everything looks great. It showed I was measuring 11 weeks 3 days instead of 10 weeks 5 days. But they'll still keep my same due date which is December 15th. We're so excited. Emi and Kurt went with me and we all heard the heart beat. When we were looking at the screen Emi says "I don't see the baby," and right when she says it the baby starts waving its arms. She still didn't see "A BABY" but she saw something move. Once we got home she went over each of the pictures acting like she was the doctor... Here's the head, and here are the feet, and hear is its back...etc. She's so excited and I love it. This is such a great blessing to our family and we hope that everything will continue to go great.
