Have any of you ever been to the Pickleville Playhouse up in Bear Lake? Their plays are phenomenal. Well, each year around Christmas @Pickleville Playhouse puts on a Christmas production. This year its "Santa's Elves: A North Pole Musical" and its playing in Logan through December 23rd. It is seriously such a good time and great clean family fun for everyone. You can visit www.picklevilleplayhouse.com for all the details. I promise it is a tradition that you'll want to continue year after year.

These pictures are from the first time we ever went about 3 years ago up in Logan. Emi even at this age loved the show...she was just slightly creeped out when we tried to get a picture. haha I just had to post these pictures because they make me laugh.

Halloween!

Halloween was a fun and busy day. We started out at my parents for our annual Halloween Party where we had yummy homemade chili, bone bread sticks, hot dog mummies, and waffle cookies. The most exciting part of this time of the year (for me) is the homemade chili...I love it it is so yummy! The kids got to decorate balloon eyeballs and spider cupcakes.

Grandma and Grandpa Great got into the Halloween spirit...they both took a turn with the green wig and witches hat.

My brother Josh of course scared all the little ones. Emilee is still scarred, but it was a great costume.

After my parents we headed down to Orem for the Warner Halloween Party. Where we ate yummy homemade soups, took lots of pictures, went trick-or-treating and celebrated Grandma Kathy's B-day which is on Halloween.

Now this picture and the next were taken about 1/2 hour before we headed out trick-or-treating

Notice Emilee is fully dressed in her pirate costume and ready to go....

This picture was taken about 20minutes after the two pictures above after Emilee had been downstairs playing with her cousins. She went down as a pirate and came back as none other than a princess. She then informed us that this was her new costume and that she was ready to go trick-or-treating. I probably would've let her stay in it because it was so hilarious and she did it herself but it wasn't quite warm enough, so she begrudgingly let me put her back in her costume.

The kiddo's Trick-Or-Treating!

Fall Festivities

This month has started out all our Fall Festivities and we are loving the weather and all the activities we've been able to do. First off we headed to Dinosaur Park on October 16th to try out there Night of the Living Dinosaurs Trick or Treat fun, and we had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa Christiansen went with us. It was decorated so fun.

They had a costume contest and our "Little Pirate" took 3rd place. She was thrilled.

On October 18th we headed out to Black Island Farms. Axiom financial gives us free tickets every year and we look forward to it always. They have a petting farm, swings, slides, kiddy-train, corn sandbox, mazes, refreshments, and a hay-ride to pick out pumpkins.

On Thursday, October 21, we went with Amy and Bentley to the Treehouse to play and up to Beuss Pond to feed the ducks. It was gorgeous up there.

On October 22nd we headed up to east canyon with Grandma and Grandpa Christiansen for Emilee's first fishing trip. It was beautiful and we got to catch a ton of fish. Emilee enjoyed the worms the best! On the way home we stopped at the very yummy Taggart's in Morgan Canyon. Soooooo GOOOOOOOOOOD!

On Saturday we went with some of our friends: The Platt's, The Stanger's, and The Meirhoffers to the Treehouse's Enchanted Woods Trick or Treat, and then back to our house for pizza and games. The kids got to dress up and follow around their favorite storybook characters on the quest for the golden rose. They meet Humpty Dumpty, The Three Little Pigs, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, A Pirate, Dorothy and the Scarecrow, and a few more I'm sure I'm forgetting. It was really cute and they got a healthy treat at each station.

Then yesterday Emilee and I decided it was time to make some Halloween Sugar cookies. She poured in and mixed all the ingredients, and made all the colors: Sunset Orange, Watermelon Red, Teal, and Jungle Green. They were just as fun to make as they were to eat. We took some over to both her grandparents.

I know Halloween is this Saturday, so I'm sure I'll have more pictures coming but this month had already been a lot of fun and I had a post overload. I think I'm getting stir crazy waiting for this baby to come and trying to get out as much as possible before I'm cooped up during the winter months.
